Don't get a website...
Until you have read this very important and totally FREE advice
What is the most important thing to any business? Customers of course. How do we encourage customers to buy our goods or take on our services? Well, apart from having a product or service that is in demand and as well as offering a good customer service, we need to get our businesses visable to the general public. For some of us it is enough to have our shop or business premises in a prime location in our local high street. But what if we can't afford those high street shop rent prices, or what if we want to tell the whole of our town, country or even the whole world about our products and services? What better way to do it than advertise and market ourselves on the world wide web (www).
What can the www provide us?
A huge worldwide audience
A potential to be 'open for business' 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
A chance to provide an in-depth feature to promote our goods and services
What high street shop can provide all this on it's own?
I have personally sold products as far as china, Russia, USA, South Africa, the list goes on and on... When I first started in business these kind of worldwide sales were left to the 'Big boys' of the industry. Now Mrs Smith selling her hand-made knitted baby gloves can be selling her products to people thousands of miles away from her little cottage.
So, you are now at the stage where you would like to market your goods and service on a larger scale, but don't know where to start? Let me help you out and give you the basics to getting started.
FREE INTERNET MARKETING ADVICE
Firstly, decide before you go any further exactly how you want to market your goods or service. Who are your potential customers and how are you going to market yourself to them.
Let's say you have decide to set up in business looking after people's gardens, tending to weeds, cutting grass etc. Not a huge industry and more than likely you are not going to want to travel more than say 20 miles from your home.
So you are not going to want a technical website that is seen all over the world are you? In fact you probably won't want it being seen much further than your town or county.
You need to localise your service within your website optimization and keywording. I talk about this more here
